The Active House Alliance 10th Anniversary Award Winners are known!
21 October, Brussels, Belgium – Active House Alliance, the network of companies sharing a vision of buildings that create healthier and more comfortable lives for their occupants with no negative impact on the climate, selected the winner of its 10th Anniversary Awards at its Anniversary celebrations today.
This year’s contest is a special award to celebrate the achievements of the last 10 years. Exceeding the expectations, the contest gathered 59 excellent submissions from across the world. All the projects were assessed by a highly professional jury composed of international building experts, including Marco Imperadori, Professor, Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Shaun Joffe, executive director, Great Gulf (Canada), Bas Hasselaar, architect, DGMR (Netherlands), Arianna Brambilla, Lecturer, The University of Sydney (Australia), Francesco Frontini, Head of Building System sector, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (Switzerland), Alexander Kucheravy, Sustainable Architect, President of Active House Ukraine, Director of Active House Academy, Ukraine, Song Yehao, Professor of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, Director of Institute Architecture and Technology in School of Architecture, Tsinghua University, China
The submissions were divided into 3 categories of projects. The jury named winners for each of the categories. Categories are: Best design foresight – designed, Best design foresight – built and finally Overall Best of 10 Years. With such a high level of submissions, the Jury gave commendations to all the shortlisted projects.
