In this spirit, a great day ended on Saturday 18th June with around 3 TEDx Courmayeur sessions, including two round tables with about 40 professionals and the TEDx talk with over 100 guests.
The morning’s Learning Loft covered a wide range of topics, such as the use of Renewable Sources with Argirò Giuseppe from CVA, Architectural Regeneration and the Use of Traditional Materials with Antonio d’Aquino from INART, Machine Learning for Innovation in Valle d’Aosta with Kim Nicoli and Federico Molino from Chambre Valdotaine Sportello SPIN2, and the Application of Digital Technology in the Agrifood Industry and the Comprehensive Overview of Investments and Structural Reforms in Italy with Massimo Lattanzi from Banca Mediolanum.
At the TEDx Courmayeur in Punta Helbronner, Mont Blanc, to go #beyondtheborder (#oltreilconfine), the #activehousealliance was invited to discuss topics related to Green and Digital Transition, Inclusion, Social Cohesion and Local Growth for the development of the first #smartruralvillage in Valle d’Aosta, which contributes to the PAC objective (Promoting growth and equality in rural areas). The purpose of realising the Smart Rural Village in the municipality of Valgrisenche is to establish a rural community that employs innovative solutions and participates in identifying the territory’s needs. These themes align with the holistic approach to design proposed by the Active House Alliance, which envisages the synergic integration of Comfort-Energy-Environmental Impact criteria.
It was pointed out that the transition towards better social and environmental conditions goes hand in hand with the use of digital technologies based on multidisciplinary thinking that allows for strategic action to preserve the territory and the population’s quality of life.
Thanks to the speeches by Davide Bettoni – CEO Mavel, Dalia Palombo – Researcher and Assistant Professor University of Tilburg, Fabio Truc – CERN, Marta Burgay – Astrophysics Observatory of Cagliari (Pulsar doppia), Giancarlo Orsini and Manuel Milliery – CEO Papkot, who explored some of these topics during the TEDx Courmayeur Talk.
