Active House China has created modular net-zero carbon intelligent public toilets

The China Construction Science & Technology Group & the Beijing Low Carbon Smart City Science & Technology Co. LTD have designed modular net-zero carbon intelligent public toilets, which are 8.56 m2 and are located near the bus station beside Ma Tian police Station, Songbai Road, Guangming District. The project belongs to Shenzhen Municipal Environmental Sanitation Administration Office.

In order to respond to the call of the national “double carbon” goal, focusing on low-carbon knowledge, the project presents a new generation of low-carbon smart assembled small toilets. The project adopts the modular technology of prefabrication, the modular production of sanitary ware, the integration of interior materials and the integrated design of equipment.

Under the theme of “double carbon”, a variety of energy-saving technologies are applied, including self-maintenance of building energy consumption by studying the difference between annual photovoltaic and energy consumption in Shenzhen and combining the building area; Through the research of the current sewage discharge method, select the corresponding water-saving vacuum collecting equipment; The optimal scheme was selected by examining the performance characteristics of low-carbon building materials on the market. Optimize air flow organization through energy-saving selection and intelligent control of air conditioning.

First of all, the design of appearance, function and energy consumption of street small public toilets should be established and improved to break through the constraints of site conditions and optimize the functional configuration of buildings. Secondly, improve the intelligence degree of equipment, explore low-carbon and energy-saving operation technology, and optimize the operation and management mode. Finally, we upgraded and iterated a new digital, intelligent, low-carbon, environmentally friendly and beautiful “self-sustaining, pollution-free” street small public toilet.

Combined with the theme of “double carbon”, practical, low-carbon and carbon-fixation building materials are adopted, the use and operation of the whole life cycle of the product are considered, and the optimal number of photovoltaic components is calculated according to the local climate conditions of Shenzhen, so as to realize the low-carbon, modular and intelligent design of the product. How to achieve a low-carbon design of small public toilets, how to achieve self-maintenance of annual energy consumption of small public toilets, how to avoid connecting small public toilets to the municipal pipe network, and how to improve the intelligent operation and management mode under the intelligent platform have been effectively solved in the design of this product (glass honeycomb).
