Official opening of the first Slovenian Active House
The first Slovenian Active House has officially opened in Dragomelj on 25 September 2019. The Lumar Primus-R 150 iEDITION meets the three key criteria for sustainable construction: living comfort, energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The new model house is the result of more than a decade of development steps, ideas, concepts and hard work. In addition to business partners, employees and the media, the official opening event was attended by senior guests – Mr. Zdravko Počivalšek, Minister for Economic Development and Technology, Lone Feifer, Secretary General of the Active House Alliance and Lumar ambassadors, including Jakov Fak, Mitja Petkovsek and Marko Potrc.
At the official opening event, the house was awarded the prestigious Active House certification, which “confirms that the LUMAR ZERO EMISSION LIVING® concept truly represents a sustainable construction concept as it has a clear and recognizable design DNA of the three Active House principles that are energy, environment and comfort. Lumar’s Active House in Dragomelj is a great example of how a building can create a healthy and comfortable life for its residents with minimal footprint and climate impact. It was a great pleasure for me to attend today’s inauguration, which promises further positive steps in the field of sustainable buildings that put people first,” said Lone Feifer, Secretary General at the Brussels-based Active House Alliance, who awarded the certificate.
The Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology, Zdravko Počivalšek also emphasized the importance of following sustainable construction principles and congratulated all employees on receiving the Active House certificate: “Lumar is undoubtedly a major player in its business, as well as an indispensable recruiter in the region. Your sustainability is even more important. In times when we are so eagerly looking for higher added value in the economy and we are interested in the bright future of our craftsmen, environmental concern must be the cornerstone of any business model.”
Marko Lukic, CEO of Lumar, said that the Lumar Primus-R 150 iEDITION is an upgrade of the company’s pioneering projects to date. “We designed the house with equal consideration of the key criteria for sustainable construction and living comfort. The latter represents one of the key wishes and expectations of the users, and with the solutions of the ZERO EMISSION LIVING® concept we have also provided complete sustainable living solutions.”
By completing the house in Dragomelj, “we have taken another major step in the development of sustainable buildings and in achieving our philosophy of creating buildings with minimal environmental impact, low operating and maintenance costs and the highest level of living comfort. We present these solutions as standards for all our future homes,” added Lukić.
