Active House Alliance at the WSB14 in Barcelona
The World Sustainable Buildings 2014 Conference taking place on 28-30 October 2014 in Barcelona offers 144 sessions. Among these, three sessions will be organized by the Active House Alliance and several others will include presentations about the Active House concept, tools and cases.
The 5th Active House Symposium will be organised on 29 October at 10.00 – 13.30 with two sessions focusing on the Active House concept and potential besides showing experiences and best practices in the field. During the first block (session 40), invited speakers will look into the question of sustainable buildings becoming standard solutions affordable for society. The session will explore rising awareness and growing political support for relevant solutions. During the second session (session 58), the Active House concept will be explained through practical examples and presentations of successful projects, while next steps to make the solutions available and affordable will also be elaborated.
The session organised by the Active House Alliance on 30 October (session 137) will focus on the topics of environment, energy, comfort, city development and tools with the objective to present and discuss how sustainable buildings can be developed further to become the standard solutions for all kind of buildings, from public buildings to private single family houses.
Besides participating in relevant sessions, Active House Alliance (and some of its members) will be present at the exhibition area to showcase their solutions and answer any questions coming from the interested parties. The booth will be a great opportunity to engage in more detailed conversations with the participants of the WSB14.
Practical information
Symposium participants are required to purchase an entrance ticket to the main Conference valid for 3 days at a discount price. Registering as an Active House Symposium participant, you will be entitled to a discount of 20% of the official ticket price.
